Event Details

A CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of eight basic field test methods and standard practices on freshly-mixed concrete as prescribed by CSA A23.2 test methods.

Please note: This course includes an in-person test methods review and performance tests practice session. However, we encourage all participants to come prepared and having prior testing knowledge and experience.

***Due to recent developments in the fight against COVID 19, and out of an abundance of caution, we are rescheduling the ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification course from January 11-12th, 2022 to March 15-16th, 2022.  Further details will follow in January 2022.***

In-Person Test Methods Review and Performance Tests Practice

In-person review and performance tests practice session(s) will be scheduled on Tuesday, March 15th. The attendance is optional. However, we do encourage all participants to attend to have the opportunity to ask any questions as well as to go through all the test methods.

Written Exam

The written exam will be held on Wednesday, March 16th, location to be determined.

Performance Exam

The performance exam will take place at a location to be determined.

All testing equipment will be provided for the performance exam.

PPE is mandatory and all participants must comply with all safety protocols. A limited supply of extra masks, gloves and hand sanitizer will be available for individuals who may require them.

PPE REQUIREMENTS – Mask, Safety Boots, Eye Protection, Hardhat, Safety Vest, Gloves and Jeans 


Registration limited to 50 participants.  


Test Accommodations

If any accommodations are needed by a participant to complete either the written or performance exam, please notify Concrete Ontario at the time of registration. Accommodations are only provided if the examinee makes the request prior to the exam date. To qualify, the participant will need to submit a doctors note stating the reason and need for the specific accommodations.

Test accommodations include (but are not limited to):

  • Assistive personnel
  • Additional testing time
  • Break time

COVID-19 safety protocols have been developed and will be in full effect including temperature checks, face coverings and physically distanced written and performance exams.
