ACI Ontario Chapter and Concrete Ontario are pleased to be offering the a 2-day ACI CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician Certification Course.
A CSA Standards Concrete Field Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of eight basic field test methods and standard practices on freshly-mixed concrete as prescribed by CSA A23.2 test methods.

This year the classroom review and written portion of the exam have been moved to The Factory, located at 100 Kellogg Lane in London. Adjacent to this venue is the Hard Rock Hotel where there is a discounted room block available. Please note that the rooms in the block are limited and are first come, first serve.

UPDATE (October 2023): A23.2–7C—Air Content of Plastic Concrete by the Volumetric Method has been completely removed from this course and will no longer be a testing requirement. (Previously only on the written exam)
UPDATE (November 2025): This course will be based on CSA A23.1/.2:24 with notable changes to the CSA A23.2-17C Temperature test method. New study books and course presentations will reflect this update and will be communicated during day #1 of the course.
- Please note: This course includes an in-person test methods review and performance tests practice session. However, we encourage all participants to come prepared and having prior testing knowledge and experience.
- All testing equipment will be provided for the performance exam.
- PPE is mandatory and all participants must comply with all safety protocols. A limited supply of extra gloves will be available for individuals who may require them.
- PPE REQUIREMENTS – Safety Boots, Eye Protection, Hardhat, Safety Vest, Gloves and Jeans
Books will be sent out starting mid-November

In lieu of the Canada Post strike, all participants have the option of picking up their study materials from the Concrete Ontario office in Mississauga. Please contact Janelle Emanuel for pick up coordination.

Test Accommodations
If any accommodations are needed by a participant to complete either the written or performance exam, please notify Concrete Ontario at the time of registration. Accommodations are only provided if the examinee makes the request prior to the exam date. To qualify, the participant will need to submit a doctors note stating the reason and need for the specific accommodations.
Test accommodations include (but are not limited to):
- Assistive personnel
- Additional testing time
- Break time
