Fundamentals of Sustainable Concrete – 2027

Event Details

Concrete Ontario is excited to once again offer Fundamentals of Sustainable Concrete 2027, taking place February 23 & 24, 2027, at the Centennial College Event Centre.

This two-day, in-person course provides participants with a comprehensive introduction to concrete and the concrete industry, while exploring the growing importance of sustainability in concrete design, production and construction.

Presented by technical leaders from Ontario’s concrete industry, the course covers the fundamentals of concrete, including its materials and composition, production, performance and construction, as well as key sustainability principles, practices and innovations shaping the industry.

Whether you are new to the concrete industry, an entry-level employee, or looking to strengthen your foundational knowledge, this course is designed to provide a practical understanding of concrete and the industry in which we work.

This course is offered in person only and participants are required to attend both days in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Course Materials

All registrants will receive the 9th Edition of Engineering Bulletin 101 – Design and Control of Concrete Mixtures on the first day of the course.

Engineering Bulletin 101 has served as one of the industry’s primary references on concrete technology for more than 85 years and is backed by nearly 100 years of research from the Portland Cement Association and the Cement Association of Canada.

Certificate of Completion

Certificates of Completion will only be issued to participants who attend both days of the course and successfully complete all required virtual quizzes and in-class activities.
