Best Management Practices for Municipal Concrete Infrastructure Manual Presented at ORBA Conference.

Concrete Ontario was invited to the Ontario Road Builders Association (ORBA) conference this year to introduce the newly completed Best Management Practices for Municipal Concrete Infrastructure manual to delegates and guests.

The session was introduced by Chris Conway, President Concrete Ontario and welcomed a moderated style Q&A session moderated by Bart Kanters – Vice President, Concrete Ontario.

The panel which included Mick Prieur – Business Development Manager – Capital Paving Inc., Alen Keri – Technical Services Engineer – Concrete Ontario and Peter Waisanen – Concrete Specialist – exp Services Inc. introduced the manual and provided a chapter by chapter breakdown of it’s content. People are key to the success of the concrete industry. While many of those people are employed with contractors, consulting fi rms, educational institutions and government offices, some of those same people are contributing authors to this Best Practices Manual.

The primary objective of this manual is the continued success of the concrete industry. The transfer of knowledge and best practices starts here. The manual is intended to be a live working document that will be continually updated by the committee and the industry at large.
