Concrete Ontario Facility Certification Process:
The Concrete Ontario Technical Committee, working in conjunction with consultants, the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) and the Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications (OPSS) has developed a detailed concrete facility certification process. Concrete Ontario implements this by a production facility audit that is conducted by a qualified independent third party professional engineer in order to ensure that facilities, equipment, materials, material handling, product and delivery/mixer trucks have met the minimum prescribed qualifications, and that the proper “capability” of producing quality concrete exists as per Canadian Standards Association A23.1-14 – Concrete Materials and Methods of Concrete Construction, and A23.2-14 – Methods of Test and Standard Practices for Concrete.
The Concrete Ontario Facility Certification process consists of two mandatory parts that must be met by all members before a plant certificate can be issued.
